C’est Fin! Project Life 2015 Wrap Up -Weeks 48 – 52

It has been a long since I’ve posted , mostly because I have been feverishly attempting to complete my 2015 album, I mean it’s February after all, this thing just needs to be complete! Honestly, between December Daily and the last few weeks of PL, I was just really happy to put away all the Christmas themed products!!

Last night I was able to do just that. My project life 2015 is now finished (hallelujah!). I am just going to give a quick post about each week and show the rest of my album in one post.

Week 48

This whole layout actually started with the “so awesome” card on the right which I knew I wanted to use for the pictures with my son and his friends at a birthday party (this was from a Gossamer Blue Life Pages kit). So I took the colour theme from that card and chose a variety of turquoise, black and white cards (a mix from Gossamer Blue Life Pages kits and from Jen Hadfield’s Cottage Life PL core kit).

Week 49

Even though I had a lot of Christmas related events happening this week, I wanted not an overly Christmasy layout. With the exception of the “holiday spirit” card (from Gossamer Blue) all of the cards were typed and printed from the PL app from the Everyday Edition (which I ADORE). I used a lot of red, white, black and silver embellishments, including a few Christmas ones, to finish off the layout.

Week 50

I find that when I am behind on layouts I often rely on the PL app a lot to catch up (it seems to be faster for me to go through all the cards digitally rather than go through my physical collection). With the exception of the red striped card (Gossamer Blue Life Pages kit) all of the journaling and all of the cards were printed from the PL app, from the Hello December 2015 Edition. I used a variety of Christmas embellishments from Michaels, Martha Stewart and K and Co.

Week 51

In the fall I fell in love with MME’s Christmas on Market Street collection, and I bought almost every product I could, including a bunch of 3×4 and 4×6 pocket cards. I used many of them for Christmas cards, but I did have quite a few left over (and tons of embellishments). So I used them all on this layout, all of which is with MME products with the exception on a few journaling spots and words from Heidi Swapp.

Week 52

My friend Nicole gave me a bunch of Christmas cards and embellishments from one of the Christmas PL value kits (not sure which one offhand) but I loved the bright reds and greens and so I decided to use them for the actual week of Christmas. I love how sometimes things get changed in a layout unexpectedly. So I guess I had left the cards out on my desk and my 8 year old saw the green “naughty/nice” card (which I originally had no intentions of using) and decided he would fill it out on himself writing in his name. It was so cute I added it in.

Week 52 and a half…

Ok, so in a perfect calendar world, week 52 would end on the last day of December which would happen to also be a Saturday. Alas, this is not the case. I really struggled initially on what to do with the pictures from December 27-31, then I was delighted to see that I only really had photos in that period from New Years Eve (hehe, problem solved!). What I decided to do was a “Goodbye 2015” single page on the last page of my album with photos from New Year’s Eve…..

All the cards were printed from the Be Bright and Everyday Editions. I added a lot of gold embellishments from MME and I added some gold stickle glitter to some of the cards for added interest.

And that’s it folks…2015 is in the books! Thanks for sharing in my documentation of 2015…can’t wait to start 2016 with a new philosophy and a new format!

Sarah
